Real Estate Controller / Director of Finance

Acquaint has been engaged to identify a seasoned Property Controller / Director of Real Estate Finance with deep expertise in Yardi Voyager to lead financial operations for a high-performing industrial real estate portfolio. This role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance across wholly owned, joint venture, and construction assets.

You’ll manage a team of 7 accountants and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate reporting, efficient processes, and strategic financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for 75 industrial properties
• Own the full month-end close, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Utilize Yardi Voyager/Elevate for CAM reconciliations, asset schedules, and financial analysis
• Ensure GAAP compliance and support external audits
• Oversee AP/AR, variance analysis, and internal controls
• Partner with development and property teams for accurate project accounting

Ideal Qualifications

• 10+ years in real estate accounting; CPA preferred
• Expert in Yardi Voyager and its financial modules
• Proven leadership in property accounting and team management
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
