Medical Director of Corrections Healthcare
(Physician / MD qualifications required) Medical Director – Position :
Critical leadership role within the corrections health system guiding medical practice, enhancing quality of care, and implementing innovative strategies for improving public health.
Full-time position
Predominantly administrative with periodic clinical time.
The Medical Director is an integral part of the Corrections Health Senior Leadership Team of professionals.

Multnomah County Corrections Health services three facilities: Multnomah County Detention Center (MCDC) – houses adults; Multnomah County Inverness Jail (MCIJ) – houses adults; and Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Home (JDH) – houses juveniles.
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board certification or eligibility in given specialty
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Oregon
- Valid CPR and DEA certification required upon start
- Leadership experience a plus
- Excellent clinical skills required
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills
- Ability to successfully collaborate with and motivate diverse individuals
- Possess exceptional communication skills, including sensitivity to cultural, gender, racial, and linguistic differences
